Fran Jacobs was born in 1977 in London. She has one brother, Daniel, and two parents, Rita and Geoffrey, who have been married over thirty years. Fran graduated University in 2002 with a Masters in Ancient History and now lives in Swansea, South Wales, with her cats, Megaera, Claudia and Mr Kitty. She is an avid fantasy reader, as well as writer, and also likes to swim, work out at the gym, see horror films, go to nightclubs, particular those that play 80s music, and do a variety of crafty things from cross stitch to jewelry making.

Fran also run a gothic online shop, Megaera's Realm. The business was named for her cat, who was, in turn, named after one of the Greek Furies. The Greek Furies are Allecto, Tisiphone and Megaera. They are‘dog faced women' of Greek mythology, who chase the murderers of blood relatives. The most famous person that they hounded was Orestes, who killed his own mother Clytemnestra, in revenge for her slaying his father, her husband, Agamemnon.

Fran has been writing for as long as she can remember and her first series, Ellenessia's Curse, a dark fantasy trilogy, has been published with Writer's Exchange Ebooks.
