Characters

Talyn:

Description: Snow white hair, green eyes. A slender elf.

General: He left Faerie Court life when, one night, he found himself turned blind from too many drugs and alcohol. His sight did eventually return but it left him emotionally scarred and unwilling to rejoin those that had left him when his sight had. He is a lonely faerie, though he associates with Yilisha and her group, he is not friends with them, and has no friends among the other faeries either. He has a passion for history.

Divor'an :

Description: An elf with large orange eyes, like a bird, and pale purple hair. He is always dressed well and sets the fashion at Court.

General: He is the King of Faerie and a trouble man, with secrets. He seduced his brother (not unheard of in Faerie) and believes that faeries are like gods and should be treated that way. He is the center of Court life, which revolves around him.

Salir :

Description: An elf with very long black hair, that hangs to his waist in a braid, and violet eyes. He is very thin, tall, and androgynous in appearance. He is 100 years old when the novel starts.

General: Divor'an's brother. He has only ever been with Divor'an, feeling that he is too different from the other faeries to be accepted by them. He rarely leaves his brother's side, or talks to anyone except Divor'an, earning him the nickname of the King's Shadow. He is a strange man, withdrawn and serious, not one to enjoy the usual faerie past times of drinking, drugs and sex. He also has psychic gifts, which he loathes, although he once used them to aid his father, the former king, when he was alive.
