These are stories which feature faeries. They can be set either be in a fantasy world or in our own.

 

'Daydreams'

Keyla can see faeries in the woods at the bottom of her garden, but are they real, or just a figment of her imagination.

 

'Rules of War'

'Rules of War,' is set in the same world as 'Ume's Lament.' In 'Rules' a young farm boy, Arathy, is amazed to discover that his father, Kyther, has captured a faerie and has her imprisoned in a cage. It is a discovery that leads to a dangerous obsession.

 

'The Changeling'

This is a gay love story, between Kyra, a mortal boy stolen by faeries, and the changeling boy, Tylin, who was left in the mortal world in his place.

 

'Ume's Lament'

Status: Published in 'Forgotten Worlds' issue 7.

The story of two gay lovers, Salir, a faerie, and Talyn, a mortal, who are on the run in the mortal world. While on their travels they come across a deserted ruin.
