The Soul Keys

  :: Characters

:: Book One, the King's Shadow

Old Books

The Soul Keys is written in the third person, and set in the realm of Faerie. It is what I would consider an erotic fantasy. Although it isn't heavy on the details of sex, dealing instead with the emotions and feelings of the characters, there are a fair few accounts of it, and it can seem erotic in its own way.

What makes this series different, I feel, is that I have explored the more animalistic side of nature. The faeries in my novel are all bisexual and lascivious, they have sex with anyone, even close family members, but it is always consensual. They are wild, elements of nature, with no restraints. This made an interesting subject to write about, because what do creatures like that, selfish and lascivious, do when their world is threatened and they are forced to look beyond themselves? And I think that because of the subject in question, faeries, and their own way of behaving and looking at the world, it brings a new spin to the traditional fantasy traits of the quest and good verses evil.

Please remember when reading the extracts or first chapter that this is an unedited piece of work, so there will be some errors.
